Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, the first African-American sorority, has an established tradition of rewarding students who have the intellect and desire to pursue a higher education.  Iota Beta Omega Chapter supports this tradition by awarding scholarships to high school seniors in the Colorado Springs community who have demonstrated high scholastic and community service achievement.

We are pleased to offer the Patricia Slaughter Education Scholarship for a student(s) pursuing an Education Major. The scholarship is open to all Colorado Springs area high school seniors with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above enrolling in a four-year accredited college or university.
